Whisky Fest '12

Later this month World Duty Free begins its annual celebration, WHISKY FEST '12, which runs until 22nd May, and offers a great range of single malt Scotches, blends, Irish and US whiskies. All are at least 20 per cent cheaper than their average price on the high street, through World Duty Free’s dedicated World of Whiskies stores at airports around the UK. In fact, during WHISKY Fest ‘12 there are savings of up to 35 per cent on some of the 300-plus whiskies available.
One of the joys of shopping at World of Whiskies is the opportunity to take advantage of exclusive discounts, since an increasing number of distillers are offering dedicated duty-free expressions of their brands.
Glenfiddich’s 19 Year Old Age of Discovery, Bunnahabhain Darach Ur and Jack Daniel’s Scenes from Lynchburg are just a few gems available in World of Whiskies stores, though not in mainstream outlets, that have impressed ‘whisky-pages’ palates and which will take centre stage at WHISKY FEST ‘12.
Another attraction of World of Whiskies outlets is the regular tasting sessions on offer with experienced members of staff, and during WHISKY FEST ’12 there will be up to 100 open bottles at any one time, providing great opportunities to explore the diversity of whiskies on offer and to ‘try before you buy.’
